Maria Lezón was raised and educated in the Basque Country of Spain. She is an Honours BFA graduate from University iof Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada. Since 1995 she has continued to further her art studies in Art history and studio work at undergraduate and graduate levels in Canada and Spain.

María Lezón crece y se educa en el País Vasco Español. Licenciada con Matricula de Honor en Bellas Artes por la Universidad de Saskatchewan, en Saskatoon, Canadá. Desde 1995 María ha continuado formándose en las artes con historia del arte y talleres a nivel universitario y de post graduado tanto en Canadá como en España.

Maria is a full time international visual artist based in Ottawa, where she lives with her wonderful man and their three lovely children
